Well im here again. This time i actully got permeantly banned from the server? Which I thought was odd since most of you guys were cool with me saing I didnt hack. I made 1 mistake of saying jewed which i use sometimes to mean what a lucky ass shot. A guy got mad I said I was sorry and the game carried on. 5mins later I was banned. Please help

I banned you for the racist remark.. and there were 2 other admins who saw you do it...
The reason it took me 5 minutes was I was checking with the other admins before I banned you...
You know...Ninja seems like a nice enough guy...Apparently he has presented Hacking or Cheating issues before (before my time)...However, the offended party asked him to stop making the statements and he continued...

I wasnt paying attention. I'm sorry. I saw you say it 1 time and I didnt say it after that. I saw that 1 guy in 1st said it offended him so I stopped. Sorry I offended you. But I guess if thats your reason there is nothing I can do... If you unbanned me it won't happen again. When I was in competitve league they said that a lot idk.... so I said it a lot sorry.... most of people used the word gayed!!!! or something then other people started saying jewed!!!! cause like if you get a 1 shot headshot with a pistol its realllly lucky and bogus so thats what they said.... so Sorry for my disrespect and racial comments. I know I'm not a member or Admin but what he said would be like someone saying Christianed. I would laugh and I would say what ya talking about. Not that I would take offense to it because it's my religion. Jewed or should I say anything Jewish is rally a religion like Rain said. Here look and see and is not a racist remark. Jews consider themselves a "people" similar to a race. The term "Jewed" ought reasonably be expected to be insulting to Jews or anyone else with a moral compass.
I want to make sure we're clear on this, in case it comes up.

I think he's listed as "racism" only because you can't type in your own reason in that ban log (such as Derogatory Language?). That said, the use of "jewed" was meant in a derogatory way and should be treated as just as bad as calling someone the n-bomb, which is coincidentally also meant as a derogatory word. HMM! Makes you think.

You can use the n-word all day and never say "Oh, and I hate black people.", but the point is put across that you do. Same can be said for saying "jewed". When he said "jewed" because he was killed by a luck shot, simple logic would suggest he didn't mean it in a "Oh, he's an awesome guy just like Jews" sort of way. This is based on the fact that anytime ANYONE uses jewed, they mean it in a way that would be offensive to a Jew. Don't think so? Go ahead, use it in front of some Jews you know (well, since we're even having this conversation, I doubt you have any so look for some). See the expression on their face when you use it. For bonus points, find some Gypsies and use the word "gypped".

I've said jewed countless times, just like I've said some racial slurs out loud. Never typed ANY of them in in-game chat like ninja did. This point is moot.

What I don't get is why its currently fine that we can insult people's religion, but we're not allowed to make fun of people's ancestral backgrounds. Both are used to identify who a person is. Both have been the cause of countless lives lost due to the need to protect an area of land or a belief. The two should be held up as equal in worth. We don't allow the use of racism because it offends people, and ninja HIMSELF said someone in the server was offended by his use of the word. Why are we allowed to offend people's religion and not their race? My mind boggles trying to figure out why it's not all or nothing.
The rules should be updated on our website. Quite frankly, I believe anything we can ban for should show up on that page, else it shouldn't be allowed to be banned for. I believe we should add the ability to ban people for derogatory religious sayings. That said, since it's not a server rule that you can be banned for it, ninja SHOULD BE UNBANNED. It's called the Grandfather Clause. Even if we pass the rule now saying you can be banned for it, ninja can't be held accountable for saying it prior to it becoming a rule.
