Not too worried if you list your monitor and such but it would be interesting to see how many people prefer CRT's over LCD's.I myself am using a 17 inch CRT flat screen as I've always noticed minor lag with LCD's no matter what one's I've tried.

Anyway just show us what you've got.I'm sure there are some big boy's out there so lets see them!!

I don't think my PC can be even consider a rig, it's a peace of junk, Dell dimension 5100 only thing I upgraded in it is my G5 mouse , video card is GeForce 8500 gt, and I use Logitech surround sound.
Processor
Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory
510MB RAM
Hard Drive
79 GB
Monitor
LCD 17"
If you guys have any suggestions on what to upgrade in my antique that would improve gaming experience I would greatly appreciated

And Basic...... I WANT my COOKIE!

your specs arent too bad herta.... Were you still thinking of getting an alienware like you had told me ? The RAM could be upgraded to about 2 gigs the video card is alright unless u want to crank it up higher..

a decent dual core system like a core 2 with 2 gigs of ram and like a 9800 gt or somethin like that would suit you but it depends on what games u want to play.

Definitely want some more ram Herta.I promise you that you will see probably a 40% increase in performance if you had at least a gig of ram.

And you probably wouldn't want to get a bigger LCD without getting a better video card first.Just need more ram trust me it will make a big difference.

ASUS p5n-E SLI
Core 2 E8400 3.0 @ 3.38 (waiting for the silver to settle before i hammer on it)
2 x 1 gig Corsair XMS something,
2 x 1 gig Mushkin whatever with neato heat sinks on it
4 gigs total, running in dual channel
2x 8800 gts 320's (SLI)

I'm fixed with a 2800 MHz AMD Athlon II X4 630 quad core
6 GB of DDR3 RAM
1 GB Radeon HD 4650 PCI-E 2.0 card
650 W Corsair PS
1 TB HD @ 7,200 rpm
20'' LCD widescreen monitor
Windows 7 Home premium
Ancient Altec Lansing 2.1 speakers or 99 cent bin headphones
Dynex keyboard Loser
Microsoft infrared mouse Loser
I run it on all four processors with a combined video memory of 3.8 GB

My question is do you guys think that is enough to attempt trying to play some of these newer games that are out there ?
Because i may be able to upgrade the system but not my pitiful skill.
Any input and insights would be appreciated.
Big
