future of EC cod4 servers? Input needed.

Shal we give up on cod4? Seams as tho our server are never used anymore including the zombies.

we are already going to dump the private, shal we just say good bye to the zombies as well?

The COD4 zombie server was always well-populated but when it went down and had some issues, I had people complaining that they couldn't play on it. The zombie server was a favourite and I tried to connect a week or so ago and couldn't.

I think if we put it back up and re-advertised it widely, it would attract players to it in a very short space of time. The COD2 private server can be dropped unless Soul wants to resurrect the scrims with other clans? He was on the other night and I didn't think to ask him.

I agree with Dirty Red. I know we've tried it before, but we haven't found the right combination yet. The top US COD2 servers are either extreme mods or CTF. I know a lot of people are against the massive map downloads so maybe a modern weapons mod with standard map and game type rotation.

As far as COD4 goes, the top servers that aren't cracked are TDM servers. What about a BF server?

As a side note, I think people are bored to death of Carentan. We should incorporate a map rotation on our main COD2 server also.

As Tater noted to me in a recent conversation, the 1.0 COD 2 servers are as popular or more popular than the 1.3s...why not try one.

I agree that modern weapons with a rotation on COD2 would be good. I agree that people are sick of Carentan as well. And I'm always for putting some CTF in the rotation. I think people enjoy the change up once in a while.

Well modern weapons is setup and workig out the kinks day by day, I will get a image made up to advertise and hopefully we can get it going!

What we will do is run like 3 or 4 maps a week than I will pick top 3 or 4 to use. Than rotate every moth.

When do we start a map rotation?? May I suggest Toujane, and Carentan. I had a few guys interested in frequent use but then the map change option was taken away. Also I feel that smoke my cause too much lag if more people start using it.

Or if there was a way the map and game type vote was accessible to to admins at least. I think we're all looking for something other than Carentan TDM all the time.
